Meganissi Island is an ideal place for a peaceful holiday with an authentic atmosphere and relaxation on the beaches. Among the interesting places to visit are the Papanikolaos cave, the villages of Spartochori, Vathy and Katomeri, or the church of Agios Ioannis.

The best time to visit Meganissi is from June to September.

Meganissi Island does not have its own airport, but is very easily accessible by frequent ferries from Lefkada Island (Nidri Port). The nearest international airport is in Preveza.

The most beautiful beaches on Meganissi Island include Fanari, Ammoglossa, Spilia, Ammos, Limonari and Spartochori.

Don't hesitate to visit any tavern serving traditional Greek cuisine. You can usually easily recognize them by the typical traditional Greek wooden chairs. You can find them in towns, villages, and even on beaches. If you like fresh fish, look for fish taverns in the harbors.
