About Us

The FotoTravel.info website was created 26 years ago, in 2001.

I had already experimented with website creation, and visiting our first Greek island, Corfu, left such an impression on me that I wanted to share all the beauty that Corfu has to offer with others, to inspire and support tourism in Greece.

We have been collecting information about Greece and the Greek islands ever since so that we can share it with you on this website. Here you will find tens of thousands of photos, descriptions of places, links to our videos about Greece, and other interesting information.

The website focuses only on areas directly related to Greece. It contains galleries of over 3,000 places from all over Greece and the Greek islands, Cyprus, and Greek monuments in Turkey.

Since 2002, we have been cooperating with Czech travel agencies Venus Trade and Tours (VTT), Melissa Travel, and INEX, which specialize in Greece. Initially, this involved sharing photos, but after YouTube launched, I focused on creating detailed video guides showing the beauty of Greece in natural motion, with the voice of nature and breathtaking details.

Later, my son Tomáš Polášek joined the team with his own YouTube channel.

WE DON'T CREATE typical "Youtube" videos!

The videos we create can be described as documentary films intended for the general public. This is confirmed by the composition of our audience, which is evenly divided between young people aged 25 and older and seniors.

Each location presented in the video is marked with its name and, newly, its location on a preview map for easier orientation and better clarity. The videos are not interrupted by spoken words. Relaxing music and natural sounds underline the calm and peaceful atmosphere of Greece. The videos are suitable for any audience, excel in high quality and value, contain a wealth of information, and, according to numerous reviews, "have no competition on YouTube."

So far, we have produced videos from about 50 Greek islands (plus other countries - Malta, Croatia, Slovenia) and we have more planned. Users don't just look for inspiration in our videos, they also draw information from them and plan itineraries for their travels around Greece. Others use them to relax during long winter evenings or to reminisce about wonderful holiday experiences. What's more, you can watch our videos elsewhere besides YouTube. They can be seen in Greek taverns literally all over the world, they provide background entertainment for hotel guests during meals, and you can also catch them on Greek TV channels or MED.TV satellite.
